Individual Therapy

There can be tremendous value in talking through your ideas, challenges, and feelings with a therapist who has good listening skills, compassion, intuition, empathy, educational training and expertise to work collaboratively with you to increase your ability to constructively self-reflect, increase your self-understanding and self-acceptance. 

Psychotherapy sessions usually take place weekly or biweekly. If you are looking for a less frequent option, with a more focused and goal-oriented approach, please see my Coaching offerings.

Coaching

With coaching we will be focused on specific goals, and I will help you make a plan to achieve each goal. As coaching sessions are not required on a weekly basis, you may find that bi-weekly or monthly sessions are helpful. With coaching I will help you chose specific goals you want to work on, break big life-goals down into attainable steps, prioritize segments of your life, improve time management, help with decision making, and track your progress/adjusting your plan when challenges come up.

 Coaching sessions are 50 minutes long, and follow the same fee schedule as psychotherapy appointments. 30 minute follow up appointments are also available. I may recommend more frequent coaching sessions, if necessary. Or we may discuss whether fully engaging in psychotherapy would be helpful for you as well.

 
 

Couples Counseling

I work together with couples to identify current stressors (as well as strengths) in their relationship. Therapy goals center around improving their overall communication, understanding, satisfaction, and CONNECTION – as a couple. Treatment will focus on relational dynamics and work to improve the couples’ overall ability to empathize with one another’s experiences and understand the unique roles they each play. Through our work together, clients will become better at improving awareness of negative patterns of communication impacting their relationship. Through improving communication and empathy it is the hope that a more safe, supportive, and fulfilling relationship may be achieved.

 Couples sessions can be good for:

  • happy couples looking to build and maintain a solid and healthy foundation.

  • struggling or stressed out couples looking to reconnect and get back on the same page.

  • couples exploring separation, and want to do so in a way that is supportive for all parties involved.
